Keep your spine in line

This article talks about the importance of keeping your spine and your healthy and aligned. The body is kept together by myofascial (connective tissue). Myofascial helps in holding the bones, tendons, muscles, and organs in place, but it tends to soften when it’s manipulated. In 1996 it was reported that one out of every seven people experience lower back pain, and eighty percent of patients who seek help haven’t had an injury, or suffered from any joint disease (Modern medicine cannot help them). In their cases, their pain would be caused by stress or soft tissue injuries. In 1997, therapy reported that the chronic pain in your lower back improves with physical therapy rather than modern medicine. Repetitive motion injuries (RMI) damage your tendons and nerves, and are caused by irritation, compression, and constricted blood flow. RMl is not caused by a single event, or blow to the body, but a series of little events that turn into a chronic problem (ex: carpel tunnel). RMI, if not treated soon, can leave you crippled and injured. Rolfers work to make both patients and themselves aware of symptoms such as burning sensations, numbness, or tingling in order to provide the proper therapy.

Starkey laboratories provided a rolfer to its workers who suffer from RMI, and reduced their compensation for RMI by 88% over a period of four years.
