Toxins All Around Us

This is an article that talks about the importance of ridding yourself of toxic chemicals. Toxic waste and chemical substances hurt both the environment, and our health. When there is an overload of harmful toxins in the body, your immune system can't fight them, and you become victim to “toxic overload" (causes severe fatigue). You now have a one in three chance of getting cancer (soon to be one in two), because the average American carries more than sixty parts per trillion of dioxin compounds in our tissue. Mercury, metals, cadmium, arsenic, and chromium in our food, water, air, and soil doesn’t exactly help us either. There are about 1500 new "around the house, day to day” chemicals entering our local grocery stores every year, and the government only inspects twelve to twenty of them. There are still obscene amounts of arsenic in our water (which correlate to all endocrine cancers), even after EPA director, Christie Todd Whitman try to assure us that the water is fine.

Two things you can do to continue to protest wastes are:

  1. write the senators, and
  2. detox daily.

Vitamins and minerals that help the detox process include: beta-carotene, vitamins C, D, and E, calcium, zinc, and flaxseed. There are over 3000 plants that have proven to be cancer fighters, they include: Green tea, Juice, green vegetables, chlorophyll, spirulina, and wheat grass drinks.
